Barry De Silva, Founder of De Silva
Consulting, has been involved in Information Technology and Business
Consulting for his whole career. His extensive knowledge
of the Forestry, Manufacturing and Wholesaling industries is complemented by
some 20 years’ experience in developing and installing systems in the Local
Government arena in both Canada and the United States. Barry has had a great deal
of experience in training and education.
In addition to the one-on-one training installing a system involves,
he has organized training courses and seminars, and taught in colleges and
universities. This hands-on experience
of designing, developing and implementing software applications is supported
by a background in Accounting and Corporate Law, with a Degree in Business
Studies. Barry has done work for a number of large companies over the years, on both sides of the Atlantic. As can be imagined from over 50 years in the industry, he has seen a lot of changes. Currently, much of his work is involved with the latest in
Database and 4GL applications, and the development of the MAIS and Sterling
Systems in Canada and the United States. |

Barry came to North America from England in 1982, after a number of years in computer marketing and data processing management, to start a new career as a Consultant. It is probably no surprise, having seen our web pages, that he
also enjoys golf. |

Paulette De Silva provides
consultancy services in the fields of Organization and Accounting. A
number of years’ experience as a Financial Controller in the Manufacturing,
Distribution, Retail and Construction arenas has
given her a wealth of experience to bring to organizations experiencing
expansion, or changing software. For
several years, Paulette worked with a major Canadian services provider with
branches and franchisees throughout Canada, the United States and Europe, and
is well versed in the management of structural and system changes. In
addition to implementing accounting and information system changes, and
providing Business Consultant services to both franchisees and corporate
branches, Paulette also has experience in setting up Corporate Health and
Welfare Policies, and providing services for Construction companies. |
